If you find yourself amid a dental emergency, do your best not to panic. The best way to get the care you need as soon as possible is by calling our dental office. We are open seven days a week and offer both morning and evening hours, increasing our chances of being able to treat you the very same day. The only time you should head to your nearest ER or call 911 instead is if you’re experiencing a potentially life-threatening symptom, like difficulty breathing, the inability to swallow, a fractured jaw, or uncontrollable bleeding.
Although dental checkups and cleanings are considered “routine,” they offer immense value. In addition to checking any existing restorations and catching dental problems, like cavities, in the early stages, your dentist also uses these appointments to screen for non-dental issues as well, including oral cancer. Plus, the cleaning portion of these visits removes stubborn tartar, cleans the hard-to-reach areas of your mouth, and helps prevent surface stains. All that said, the average price in the US is between $200 and $350. Of course, it’s important to note that other important cost-related factors need to be considered, like if X-rays are needed and if you have available dental insurance benefits. If you need any assistance understanding the cost, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
It’s important to remember that dentistry isn’t expensive; neglect is. Putting off essential dental care in an effort to save money ultimately is one of the worst things you can do for your smile and your wallet. In fact, one study found that every dollar invested in preventive care can save you between $8 and $50 on restorative and cosmetic treatments in the long run. All that said, there are a few ways you can make the dental services you’re interested in more affordable. In addition to welcoming dental insurance, our team has an in-house membership plan. Plus, we happily accept flexible financing, which allows you to pick a payment plan that works best for your budget. If you want to learn more about these options, get in touch!
